What is the angry dance filter?

The "angry dance filter" is a name for the Bad Times AI trend, not a TikTok or Instagram effect you can tap. The videos are made with AI from a photo: the person argues at the phone to "BAD TIMES" and charges the lens. You can make one online from one photo, with a free preview.

Where the name comes from

From late October 2026 accounts that sell CapCut templates and AI edits, many of them Spanish-speaking ("filtro baile enojado"), started tagging Bad Times AI videos "angry dance filter". The video is the same: the head grab, the hand on the hip, the "hold on" palms and the charge at the camera (the trend explained).

Why you can't find it in TikTok's effects

A filter changes a video you film yourself. These videos are made from a still photo by an AI video generator, so there is nothing to film and nothing to find in the effects tab. You make the video somewhere else, then post it.

Make one from a photo

  1. Add one photo of you, facing the camera.
  2. Check the picture of you at the lens, then watch a free 4-second preview. No card needed.
  3. Unlock the full 15-second 9:16 video with the song, and post it with #angrydance or #badtimes.
